Module Objective

The course aims to familiarize students with automation of the production process and expertise in how automation should be implemented efficiently using controllers (PLC), industrial networks, suitable industrial software, supervisory control and data acquisition (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition – SCADA).

Module Study Targets

  • Understand the automation of the production process
  • Evaluate the expertise of applications
  • Identify and analyze using automation controllers (PLC)
  • Identify and analyze the standards of industrial networks
  • Analyze the industrial software
  • Identify and analyze the supervisory control and data acquisition systems (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition – SCADA)

Module Acquired Abilities

  • Analysis, development and implementation of scada systems(π labview – wincc),  plcs (π step7, logixpro, ladsim), computer aided design and simulation (π solidworks, proengineer)
  • Evaluation of proposals related to applied industrial process desing and control
  • Synthesis of techniques for composite problems
  • Knowledge of development tools
  • Ability for dialog and cooperation for the development of composite algorithms
  • Ability to follow the international bibliography and the scientific events
