The present thesis concerns the analysis of ‘ Smart City ‘ and savings through this application. Reference is made to examples of smart cities around the world and their special characteristics.
Analyzed the photometric sizes and basic lighting measurements. Reference is also made to European regulatory framework and the legal framework in Greece for street lighting as described in standard of ELOT. Then shows the detailed measurements made under study in a Municipality of the region of Attica.
Initially the classification and categorization of roads and set various lighting control scenarios. Then categorized intervention points on regulatory frameworks and reflect the artificial lighting control panels. At the end described the public lighting management system to be used in the municipality and benefits.
