Dissertation Description

The present thesis concerns the development of a device based on Arduino type board and shields. The device will be designed to control the network response of a slave system like a PC, switch, router, etc. It will also be designed to control the power source of the device. The operation of this Arduino based device is combined with an Android’s application, so that the user/administrator will have the ability of monitoring and managing the device via a smartphone.

The system is customized to, preferably monitor and control a switch or router device, so that the power management of the slave won’t demand for onsite human presence.

The system consists of:

  • The AGER device: Arduino type device that will monitor and control the slave device.
  • The AGER application: Android application for the user/administrator.
