Dissertation Description

NFC is a form of contactless communication between devices like smartphones or tablets. Contactless communication allows a user to wave the smartphone over a NFC compatible device to send information without needing to touch the devices together. NFC technology is fast and convenient and is becoming very popular in many fields as in ticketing, exhibition stands, entrance control, etc. The main purpose of this thesis is to develop an application guidance in exhibitions. For instance, in a museum where there are many exhibits and few tour guides, the visitors could approach their mobiles on the tag label and could read and/or listen the details from the exhibit. In each exhibit two tag labels are attached, one for the local language, and another for English which is a universal language.
